Our tour begins when we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco city at 7:00 am. Then, we will visit the Taray viewpoint, located at the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will stop there to appreciate the natural beauty of the valley. Then, we will drive to Pisac.
Pisac is a small town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. It is home to many Inca ruins and is known for its Sunday market, which is full of local artisans selling their handmade goods. It is a popular tourist destination for its mountain scenery, archaeological sites, and traditional Inca culture.
On the other hand, the Pisac Inca ruins date back to the 15th century and are a complex of terraces, temples, palaces, and other structures built by the Incas. The ruins are renowned for their intricate stonework and their stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After exploring Pisac, we will go to Urubamba town, where we will stop to have lunch.
Then, we will visit Ollantaytambo. The Ollantaytambo Inca ruins consist of terraces, stairways, and temples built by the Incas. They are some of the best-preserved Inca ruins in the world, and offer a unique insight into the Inca culture. Visitors can explore the ruins, which offer stunning views of the surrounding valleys.
Then, we will explore Moray. Moray is a fascinating Inca archaeological site located near the town of Maras in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. The site consists of several concentric terraced circular depressions with a depth of up to 30 meters and was likely used as an agricultural experiment station by the Incas. The terraces of Moray were likely used to simulate different ecological zones and create microclimates for different crops.
The Maras Salt Mines are a set of thousands of small, ancient salt evaporation ponds located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. The mines, which have been in use since pre-Inca times, are still actively mined by the local people, with each family owning a set of their own ponds. The ponds are filled with salty water from a nearby subterranean stream, and the water is evaporated by the sun, leaving behind a layer of salt which is harvested and sold.
Before returning to Cusco, we will visit Chinchero. Chinchero is a small town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru, located about 30 kilometers from the city of Cusco. It is a traditional Andean village, with a picturesque colonial-style main square, surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of the Peruvian Andes. Chinchero is known for its Incan ruins, traditional weavings, local markets, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Finally, we will return to Cusco city. We will be arriving there around 6:00 pm.
